Berlin/Neuenhagen, 17-Aug-2006. BiRDS Pharma GmbH, the drug development company within BDD/CCDRD Group, and IMPHAR AG, the Groupīs provider of IT solutions for drug research and development as of August 17th 2006 merged to form Berolina innovative Research and Development Services AG (BiRDS Pharma AG). The legal aspects of the merger are expected to be completed within October 2006. The newly-combined company will operate under a combined management of former BiRDS Pharma GmbH and IMPHAR AG officers. The merger reflects the declared goal of both partners to combine their respective expertise and platforms build a strong one-stop provider for integrated drug development services both for third party pharmaceutical or biotech companies and for BDD/CCDRD Groupīs own drug development projects. BiRDS Pharma AG will retain all BiRDS Pharma GmbH operations, programs and projects. Former IMPHARīs IT-services remain an important part of our expertise but are now primarily targeted at supporting the integrated drug development process and are thus offered as part of drug development related services rather than independently. BiRDS Pharma AG and CCDRD AG, the BDD/CCDRD Groupīs provider of Clinical Research Services for Phases I-VI, together form a complementary integrated structure that allows the Group to position itself as a expert provider of drug development services from concept to market authorization.
